Infertility diagnosis and treatment
Your fertility assessment will involve comprehensive testing to evaluate possible causes of infertility.

Doctors explain Q&A to help you get pregnant
Q
Should medical evaluation coordinate with menstrual cycle? Does my spouse need to accompany me?
A
Traditionally, basal fertility hormone assessment should coordinate with menstrual cycle; however, with the advance of modern fertility medicine, many kinds of assessments no longer need to coordinate with the menstrual cycle. For your very first visit, you may directly refer to the physician’s outpatient list and register a time at your convenience to have an initial assessment without the accompaniment of your spouse.
Q
What types of testing will be included in the first outpatient visit?
A
The physician will arrange for the items of examination based on each person’s condition of consultation. Females will receive blood testing such as AMH, TSH, Prolactin, etc., as well as ultrasound assessment of the condition of uterus and ovaries. Males will receive semen test.
Q
Is undergoing the treatment of IVF absolutely required after visiting a reproductive medical center?
A
It depends. The physician will make a comprehensive assessment and summarize your needs so as to provide the best suitable treatment.
Q
What should I do if I fail to conceive as planned?
A
For people who are under 35 and haven’t practiced contraception for a year, or for people who are over 35 and haven’t practiced contraception for half a year, if they are not pregnant, it’s recommended that they get a checkup immediately.
